In your own words, what is different about DRDA?
DRDA is different because we are forward thinkers.  Our brand promise is: Working to improve your future…not just account for the past. Throughout the year we scan through our client database to determine if the client’s entity structure and operations are appropriate for their business and the current tax laws.

What is most rewarding about being an accountant?
The feeling I have at the end of the day when I know I’ve made a difference in someone’s life. Solving a very complicated puzzle makes me happy. 

What is your hidden talent?
I am a fireman. Issues arise, and I help resolve them.

What is your philosophy as it relates to your job?
Be adaptable and reliant.  This job can get crazy at times so we must not be rigid as to what we are doing.  We must be flexible and ready to change plans as a result of changing client, government and business needs.

How did you choose accounting?
I took an accounting class in High School. Through that class I joined that Business Professionals of America club and competed in computerized accounting. I was honorable mention at the national competition. From that point on I knew that I would be successful in this career.

I help our clients succeed. I wear many hats at DRDA.  I prepare returns, review returns, assist/train staff, and manage client projects.  I have direct contact with numerous clients to assist them through the complexities of accounting, tax and business.
