Sara Comeaux

Overview

What do you anticipate being the most exciting part about your job?
Learning tax laws and building excel spreadsheets.

What is your hidden talent?
I tell terrible jokes, but people always laugh, so I guess that makes me a comedian.

What is your philosophy as it relates to working?
I believe work is individually hands on, but very much a teamwork effort at the same time. Do and learn as much as you can, and be able to help others with that knowledge. Also, be able to listen to and learn from your teammates, and understand constructive criticism helps you grow.

Why did you choose to work in the field of accounting?
I found myself enjoying balancing in my first Accounting classes, it was always a big puzzle to me. The more accounting classes I took, and from working as an assistant inventory controller, the more I realized this field fits my personality and work habits.

In your own words, what is your job description?
Providing a service to clients in an area they do not understand. It will be my duty to build a knowledge of the taxing process for each individual client. It will be my responsibility to know what kind of questions to ask each client, and to help them understand why I am needing the information while navigating them through the tax return process.

Education:
Bachelor of Science: Major Accounting, Minor Finance

Community Involvement:
Donating to the homeless community, helping pass out essentials to the homeless, and helping out the community or Global partnerships with different needs at different times.

Organizational involvement:
Sagemont Church, there is no one area, different needs at different times that my I-connect class or church as a whole helps out with it. For example, right now we are donating items to a Pregnancy Crisis Center, but the previous months our hole church was gathering food supplies and school supplies for the local community around us.

What do you enjoy doing when not at work.
Reading, going to church activities, exercising, hiking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and sometimes just nothing at all.

Fun Fact about you.
I can curl my tongue in thirds.
