In your own words, what is different about DRDA?
DRDA is a forward-thinking firm that applies a proactive stance toward tax planning, advisory and accounting services. Internally, DRDA emphasizes transparency, teamwork and continual improvement.
What do you find most rewarding about your role
The most rewarding part of being a tax manager is seeing how your knowledge directly helps people and businesses gain clarity, confidence, and control over something that most find confusing or stressful. Taxes affect nearly every major decision and being the person who can simplify that complexity and turn it into opportunity is deeply satisfying.
How did you choose your career path
I chose accounting because I enjoy solving problems, working with details, and helping people make sense of their finances. It’s a career that lets me apply logic and analysis in a way that genuinely supports others’ goals.
In your own words, what is your job description?
As a tax manager, my job is to help individuals and businesses understand and manage their taxes in the smartest, most compliant way possible. I analyze financial information, prepare returns, and provide advice on how to plan ahead so clients can minimize their tax liabilities while following all the rules.
Practice Areas or Focus Areas:
Small closely held businesses and high net worth individuals
What is your hidden talent or something unique about you?
In my spare time, I’m an intuitive fluid artist. I work primarily with a mix of acrylic paints and resin, creating abstract pieces that flow naturally and emphasize movement, color, and texture.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to travel and have a real passion for exploring new places. I’ve taken 19 cruises so far and have visited most of the countries in the Caribbean. Each trip gives me a chance to experience new cultures, food, and art and it’s always inspiring for my artwork.
Where did you grow up or go to school?
I grew up in San Diego, and it really shaped who I am today. The mix of sunshine, beaches, and diverse culture made it such a great place to call home. There was always something to do; from spending weekends at the beach or hiking in the nearby mountains. Growing up there taught me to appreciate nature, community, and a relaxed, positive outlook on life
Favorite snack, movie, or hobby:
My favorite snack is Reese peanut butter cups (especially the holiday ones)!
Do you have a personal motto or quote that inspires you?
My personal motto is “If you aren’t part of the solution, you are part of the problem.”
