Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Be aware of the client’s journey
  • Be aware of the client’s challenges
  • Formulate and recommend solution for client challenges to manager
  • Process interim and annual compilations and preparation of financial statements (including full disclosure statements)
  • Assist with supervision of projects as needed
  • Review accounting and tax projects as required
  • Prepare expert level individual and business returns
  • Lead in tax planning projects for individuals and businesses
  • Research more complex accounting and tax issues as required
  • Consult with clients as needed
  • Develop new and existing client relationships
  • Manage and review payroll and sales tax reports
  • Research and resolve IRS notices
  • Meet utilization and realization standards
  • Look for ways to grow and improve the firm
  • Mentor and train other staff members by providing guidance and serving as a professional role model
  • Available to work during normal business hours
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, after hours and/or weekends as needed to meet business demands with prior manager approval
  • Adhere to all DRDA policies

Technical Skills

  • Sound understanding of accounting concepts and theory
  • Advanced knowledge of tax laws
  • Fundamental ability to apply tax knowledge to client problems
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Proficiency with research tools
  • Sound understanding of business of accounting rather than practice of accounting
  • Strong understanding of all of DRDA services
  • Strong understanding of firm’s marketing plan and efforts
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and organize projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • CPA License is preferred
  • Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

    • Provide and manage excellent customer service
    • Responsible for managing production workflow
    • Direct seasonal tax administration staff as needed
    • Identify problems, propose and implement solutions to firm and client related matters
    • Maintain and improve workflow procedures as needed
    • Train and mentor staff with workflow
    • Evaluate production administrative staff as directed by partner or manager
    • Manage compliance with firm quality control procedure in workflow administration
    • Be a reliable team player
    • Support all levels of personnel
    • Assist with special projects as needed

    Job Responsibilities

    • Set up and Assign Projects
    • Scan documents
    • Assemble tax returns
    • Run weekly project reports
    • Run monthly extension reports
    • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and extensions
    • E-file extensions and tax returns
    • Set-up and maintain client portals
    • Order annual payroll and informational forms
    • Develop ways to improve utilization, realization and efficiencies in workflow administration of firm
    • Meet utilization and realization standards personally and for managed staff

    Technical Skills

    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Practice CS, GoFileRoom, NetClient CS, and e-signature
    • Basic knowledge of UltraTax
    • Possess basic typing skills
    • Have strong organizational skills
    • Basic knowledge of tax laws and filing requirements of all forms

    • Sound understanding of business of accounting rather than practice of accounting

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years Tax prep experience

    • Set up all permanent and current file workpapers using Engagement Solutions
    • Participate in the engagement planning process
    • Research accounting issues as required
    • Draft annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures
    • Meet utilization and realization standards
    • Communicate with clients as needed
    • Available to travel, as necessary, to perform audit field work
    • Available to work during normal business hours
    • Ability and willingness to work overtime, after hours and/or weekends as needed to meet business demands with prior manager approval
